Therapists for college students near University of Colorado Boulder
Being in college or graduate school often means navigating big transitions, shifting relationships, academic pressure, identity exploration, and uncertainty about the future. You may look like you’re holding it together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or stuck on the inside. My role is not to “fix” you, but to help you reconnect with your own capacity to heal and grow. The coping strategies that helped you survive earlier seasons of life may no longer be serving you. In our work together, we’ll build on your existing strengths while developing new skills that support resilience, emotional regulation, and authentic self-trust. I have experience working in hospitals, schools, and in a university setting, and I specialize in working with survivors of trauma. My trauma-informed approach prioritizes safety and nervous system regulation first. We focus on building your ability to feel grounded and present before engaging in deeper trauma processing, and healing does not require you to relive or recount everything before you’re ready. Starting therapy, especially with a new provider, can feel vulnerable. I aim to create a space that feels steady, collaborative, and respectful of your pace. If you’re considering beginning therapy for the first time or returning after a break, I welcome the opportunity to talk and see if we’re a good fit. I provide teletherapy to clients 18+ across Colorado, and in person sessions in Longmont, CO. Due to a conflict of interest, I am unable to work with current students of the University of Colorado Boulder. Reach out by text, call, or message to schedule a consultation.

My two decades of study and practice of Buddhist meditation, inform and deepen the space I hold in the therapeutic relationship. I accept Anthem, Cigna, United, and Aetna insurance. If you're embarking on finding a therapist for the first time or seeking a new one, you're taking a courageous step toward prioritizing your well-being and health. What sets my practice apart is my two decades of experience working with stress, anxiety, loss/grief, and traumatic experiences. I work in my office and via telehealth, and I incorporate nature and equine-assisted therapy into the healing process. When partnering with horses, I facilitate connections with the natural world, which fosters transformation and healing of trauma and stress within a safe, confidential environment. I also have an office space in Gunbarrel and work with modalities such as Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR. In these difficult times, managing life's demands is often challenging. Anxiety, depression, and frustration may feel overwhelming and impossible to overcome. Seemingly obvious solutions often make it worse. For example, worrying about being anxious or avoiding anxiety arousing situations only increase the problem. However, there are effective coping strategies that help. I offer practical alternatives in a warm and supportive environment.

ORCA Recovery partners with families and young adults to navigate the path from crisis to stability — and from stability to long-term thriving. We specialize in intervention planning, case management, and recovery navigation for individuals struggling with substance use, mental health concerns, and process addictions. Our work begins with families. We help them slow down, organize the chaos, and create a thoughtful plan to get their loved one to the right level of care. When treatment is needed, we coordinate the process from start to finish — identifying the best-fit program (whether within our trusted network or elsewhere), preparing the family, aligning expectations, and supporting the transition into care. If hesitation or resistance shows up, our experienced interventionists work directly with the family to increase readiness and reduce the risk of failed attempts. But our work does not stop at admission. We remain engaged throughout the treatment process and beyond — supporting communication between providers and families, reinforcing clinical recommendations, and helping translate progress into real-world change. We believe outcomes improve when families are informed, aligned, and actively involved in recovery. On our Thriving Campus, ORCA serves as a bridge between higher levels of care and sustainable independence. We provide structured oversight, accountability, and family coaching while empowering young adults to build life skills, purpose, and community. Our philosophy is simple: Recovery works best when it is collaborative, intentional, and sustained over time. At ORCA, we do more than help people get to treatment — we help families and individuals build a foundation that lasts.ORCA Recovery partners with families and young adults to navigate the path from crisis to stability — and from stability to long-term thriving. I am a practicum intern therapist offering somatic, person-centered therapy for adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges and identity shifts. I am especially passionate about helping women traverse the emotional landscape of midlife, menopause, and perimenopause. My approach to therapy is grounded, intuitive, and deeply relational. I create a warm, attuned space where you feel supported in exploring who you are and where you want to go. I believe that change feeds the soul—and that healing begins when we meet ourselves with compassion, curiosity and courage. Before entering the field of psychotherapy, I was a professional musician and integrative somatic coach. My background in music and coaching informs my ability to listen deeply, connect through presence, and help you attune to the rhythms of your own inner experience. In addition to completing my Master's in Clinical Counseling at Adams State University, I am currently pursuing certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner through Somatic Experiencing International. I offer therapy in person in Boulder and online throughout Colorado under the supervision of licensed clinicians at Thrive Psychotherapy.
