I work primarily with those suffering from chronic illness. Difficult to treat medical conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, Lupus, etc. are often poorly understood, and it can be very difficult for patients to find the help and support they need. I teach my clients tools for coping with and managing every day life with these conditions, in addition to mind body medicine practices to help alleviate symptoms and to decrease stress. I have recently started offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as a way to cope with life stressors or trauma.

I have been working with college and graduate students all of my professional career, and am excited and comfortable helping students navigate their social, emotional, psychological and professional challenges. I am an open therapist who believes that the therapeutic process is a collaboration between therapist and patient/client. Those with whom I have worked have described me as warm, empathic and woke.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you're already balancing classes, relationships, family expectations, work, and everything else that comes with college life. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply looking for extra support, I'm glad you're here. I'm Mary Mesiha, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 20 years of experience helping young adults navigate life's challenges. I specialize in working with college students facing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem, trauma, and the pressures that often come with this stage of life. I believe the relationship you have with your therapist is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, gain practical tools, and build confidence as you work toward the life you want. I offer a free 30-minute consultation so we can get to know each other, discuss what you're looking for, and determine whether we're a good fit. I believe that therapy should be a space where you don't have to perform, explain, or minimize your feelings, no matter your reason for reaching out. As a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I welcome clients with diverse identities and concerns, and strive to create a safe, compassionate environment where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or trauma/complex PTSD, including survivors of assault/abuse. I also support clients navigating life transitions, identity-related challenges, relationship concerns, emotional dysregulation, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, and academic/workplace challenges. Since there's no one-size-fits-all in healing, our work together will be tailored to your unique needs and a pace that feels safe, supportive, and sustainable for you. This can include processing difficult experiences, building insight, developing practical coping strategies, and fostering self-compassion, resilience, and a stronger sense of self. As a Harvard-trained researcher, my therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based care, integrating cognitive behavioral, dialectical, somatic, psychodynamic, and narrative interventions to help you create lasting, meaningful change. I look forward to supporting you in your journey towards a life that feels more grounded, fulfilling, and authentic.

My Practice: I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a focus on supporting young adults through compassionate, evidence-based therapy. I also work with parents through coaching, helping families navigate challenges and strengthen their relationships. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, including: anxiety disorders (social anxiety, phobias, OCD, generalized anxiety), depression and mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), trauma, self-esteem issues, self-harm and emotional dysregulation, and parent-child conflict My approach is strengths-based and client-centered. I believe therapy is a collaborative process rooted in trust, safety, and respect. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, drawing from multiple therapeutic frameworks, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My Training: I received my B.S. from Cornell University in Human Development in 2015 and my Masters in Social Work from Boston College in 2020. My previous clinical experience includes acute psychiatric residential treatment at McLean-Franciscan's Community-Based Acute Treatment (CBAT), school social work at Brookline and Boston Public Schools, and outpatient therapy under a group practice. Who I am: I’m silly, serious, inquisitive, and loyal. I come from a very big family and am a first-generation college student. These parts of my identity shape how I show up in the therapy room - grounded, curious, and deeply committed to connection. Outside of my work, I love to cook, spend time with my loved ones, and move my body in nature. Whether it’s swimming, running, hiking, biking, or skiing, being outdoors helps me feel present and energized.

Hello! I have worked as an individual therapist for 7 years and I am excited to be adding more practice hours to my North Shore schedule. I have a lot of experience working with young adults during life transitions; helping people to find strength as they move with intention through uncertainty. If you do not feel like yourself, and something is getting in the way of living out your full potential; you are not alone. Recognizing a desire for something different is a great place to start, and searching for a therapist to support you on your journey is a brave next step! It takes time, attention, energy, and strategies to improve the way we live, feel, and connect with others and it absolutely can be done. I offer a non-judgmental supportive environment where you can develop a better understanding of your unique emotional experience. Together we will find ways to create meaningful and sustainable positive change in your life. I am happy to offer a free 15 minutes phone consultation to better understand your needs and explain the services I can offer. Simply let me know your contact number and I will reach out to set up a time for our call. I am able to offer telehealth/video sessions at this time as well. I look forward to hearing from you.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or unsure where you fit in, I can help. I use combination of therapeutic approaches depending your needs. As a therapist who likes to get results, I can help you define and meet your goals. In most case, I have found cognitive behavioral therapy to be a very effective tool. In addition to teaching specific skills and techniques, I offer support and empathy so that you feel fully understood and accepted. Time and time again, I have seen that when you gain insight and understand the valid origins of your beliefs and behaviors, you can make healthier choices.

I specialize in working with emerging adults and college students navigating the challenges that come with this stage of life — identity shifts, academic or social stress, relationship uncertainty, and the pressure to “have it all together.” My goal is to create a safe, down‑to‑earth space tailored to your needs, whether you’re hoping to deepen self‑understanding, build practical coping tools, gain clarity in one or more areas of your life, or simply have a supportive place to talk and reflect. College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. I specialize in working with college and graduate students who are navigating anxiety, academic stress, relationship challenges, identity exploration, life transitions, and the pressure to “have it all figured out.” Whether you’re adjusting to campus life, managing perfectionism, struggling with motivation, or feeling stuck, therapy can be a space to slow down and make sense of what you’re carrying. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. You are the common denominator in your life, my aim is to help you navigate and understand the deeper patterns that shape your experience. My role is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move through this time in your life with more clarity and confidence.

Hi, I’m Lyla, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the owner of Mindnest Health, a telehealth psychiatry practice serving Massachusetts. I know that reaching out for mental health support can feel overwhelming especially when you’re already trying to manage school, responsibilities, relationships, and everything else life throws at you. Many of the students I work with come in feeling anxious, burnt out, or just not like themselves anymore, and aren’t always sure where to start. My approach is to create a space where you can feel comfortable, heard, and supported without judgment. I focus on medication management for anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I work collaboratively with you (and your therapist, if you have one) to find a treatment plan that actually fits your life. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I’m here to help you take that next step.
