I am a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a deep commitment to helping individuals and families navigate their challenges. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Worcester State University, where I also minored in Sociology and focused on mental health and women's studies. Following that, I earned a Master's in Forensic and Investigative Psychology from the University of Liverpool. From the very beginning of my career, I discovered my passion for working with families and children. I believe in creating warm and supportive environments where everyone feels safe and valued. This dedication inspired me to pursue a Master's in Social Work from Anna Maria College, allowing me to better serve the community that is close to my heart. I have had the privilege to work across various settings, including residential care, intensive in-home support, schools, and outpatient services, which has enriched my understanding of the diverse needs of families and children. In my sessions, I strive to foster a nurturing and compassionate space where clients can feel understood and empowered to pursue their goals. I use a strength-based approach, offering encouragement and support to help clients along their journey. I believe it is essential for clients to be at the heart of the treatment process, actively participating in setting their own goals. This ensures that their voices are not only heard but truly valued in every session. Together, we can embark on a transformative journey towards healing and personal growth. Clients can expect that they will be heard and respected in sessions, and that their goals and dreams are a priority. Through this process, they will be validated and supported in helping them reach their full potential.

I'm passionate about working with college students who are finding life to be overwhelming and exhausting. Maybe you're heartbroken over loss, burdened with guilt, feeling you'll never be good enough, are scared, or at wits' end. Or maybe something happened to you, and it sticks with you giving you no rest. When we feel this way, we tend to isolate, berate ourselves, and spiral in our thinking or distract ourselves from these debilitating feelings. You're not alone. These feelings and responses are common, and there are evidence-based treatments to help you make sense of your concerns, take good care of yourself, and take your next steps. My main approach is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) while also building a warm, therapeutic relationship. I'm also trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma. That said, therapy is collaborative. You are the expert on yourself, and I will work with you to find the approach that best suits you. My goal is to help you not only feel better but to grow in ways that make a healthier life both possible and sustainable. Many people feel hesitant about starting therapy. Growth can be a challenging road—I hope to meet you on that road, and help with your journey.

Shoreline Wellness Center places a focus on talk therapy (psychotherapy) to help patients better manage the stress they encounter in their daily life. Working with a therapist has many benefits, such as coping with feelings, facing and solving problems, or changing behavioral patterns that are leading to some of your symptoms. In therapy, we don’t just talk about problems. The main goal is to develop a reasonable and doable solution. Sometimes you may have “homework” to complete for your therapist. This may include something like tracking your moods throughout the day, journaling about your thoughts, going out of your way to be social, or joining in activities that caused you to feel anxious in the past. Your therapist may even suggest for you to try to look at things differently or to learn new skills to use in your everyday life. Therapy focuses on current and past thoughts, feelings, and issues. Both are important, as they may very well be connected in some way. Discussing your challenges and having an open dialogue is the key to finding the solution to help your present and prepare for your future.

On the surface you're all calm and put together, but underneath you're questioning how your life is panning out. Sure, you've got great ambition and have come really far. Things may even be pretty good right now. But the memories of your difficult past and anxieties about the future never quite go away. Feeling not good enough, doubting your abilities, and feeling stuck have become an everyday experience that you'd rather do without. I use an attachment, nervous system, and trauma informed lens to help you understand how experiences have shaped you so far and find more space for kindness and courage within for growth and evolution. Imagine going about your day feeling compassionate towards yourself, confident in handling whatever life throws at you, and courageous in taking new actions towards your goals. I fully believe that living with more ease, self esteem, and satisfaction is available to you and will be the natural result of you paying more attention to your inner experiences. Certified in both IFS and EMDR, I help clients that experience anxiety, depression, trauma including PTSD and C-PTSD, and relationship issues find new ways of relating to themselves and others. I conveniently see clients online via teletherapy. Head over to my website (www.WellofWisdomTherapy.com) to schedule your free 15 minute phone consultation today.

I have over 25 years experience working with teenagers and adults. I understand the social, behavioral, and academic challenges clients face, not only with the pandemic, but with social media, peer pressure, self-esteem, eating disorders, relationships, decision making, substance use, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm. I provide cognitive behavior therapy, which is to help clients understand why they are thinking and behaving the way they are and to help them understand that in order to change for the long term, they need to first understand what is causing the problem. To establish a relationship with a therapist takes time and can be rewarding when you are able to build trust, knowing you are able to confide and share your perspective, your story. This process allows the individual the opportunity to gain clarity in a setting that is confidential and accepting. All too often emotional/physical pain can have a significant impact on our ability to remain independent, self-reliant, engaged in everyday tasks and life roles at level of independence that is rewarding to oneself and those they care for. As an Occupational Therapist with a background in behavioral health, I take a holistic approach. As an Occupational Therapist I have assisted many clients in understanding how their performance patterns, habits, routines, and roles influence life satisfaction. This process allows my clients the opportunity to promote, establish (or restore), or modify a task within a life role to create a sense of control over ones life. My background and 25 year experience have demonstrated success in supporting clients who experience physical/emotional pain and reduced functional independence. My ability to allow an individual to feel safe, acknowledged, and empowered while developing the tools and skills necessary for emotional stability, greater independence, and an effective resource.

Welcome to Insights Psychological Services. College and graduate school can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. You may be juggling academic pressure, relationships, career decisions, family expectations, identity, and the constant feeling that you should be doing more—or handling it all better. At Insights, we provide virtual therapy for college students, graduate students, young adults, professionals, and couples throughout Massachusetts. Our therapists take a warm, relational approach to therapy. We believe that feeling understood, comfortable, and genuinely connected with your therapist is an important part of creating meaningful and lasting change. **We are currently welcoming new clients with Dr. Samantha Jackson, our postdoctoral fellow at Insights.** Dr. Jackson provides a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative space for clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply wanting to understand themselves more deeply. She especially enjoys working with college and graduate students, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity concerns, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, perfectionism, burnout, and major life transitions. Dr. Jackson takes a relational and psychodynamically informed approach, helping clients explore not only what they are experiencing, but also the patterns, relationships, and experiences that may be contributing to how they feel today. Her goal is to create a space where clients can feel genuinely heard and comfortable being themselves while working toward meaningful change. More broadly, our clinicians at Insights frequently work with anxiety, depression or low mood, ADHD, perfectionism, burnout, stress, panic, OCD tendencies, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, family-of-origin issues, trauma, and major life transitions. We also support clients exploring racial and cultural identity, gender and sexual identity, sexual health, neurodivergence, and religious or existential concerns. It can be a space to slow down, better understand yourself and your patterns, work through what's getting in the way, and develop healthier ways of navigating your relationships and your life. **Dr. Jackson currently has immediate telehealth openings for new clients.** We offer a **free 20-minute consultation** so you can meet with us, ask questions, and see whether Dr. Jackson—or another therapist at Insights—feels like the right fit. Welcome, as it takes courage for us to ask for help from others and seek therapy. I am here to tell you that it is okay to ask for help and seeking a professional therapist is the first step in your journey. Life is hard at times, with a multitude of life transitions, from graduating from high school to finishing college, starting a new job, or having feelings of being stuck either personally and/or professionally. Life is not an easy road to travel, but as we travel through different life challenges, sometimes we need help from others and it’s okay to seek help. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is very passionate about the mental health field and each client I have had the pleasure of working with. I am very respectful of everyone’s journey and believe respect, compassion, and sensitivity are very important in building and maintaining a healthy therapeutic relationship. I have experience with working with clients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, stress and major life transitions, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, ADHD symptoms, mood disorders, parent-child relationship issues, behavioral problems, parenting techniques, and grief/loss. My therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I utilize different therapeutic techniques to assist my clients, which ensures each client has a personalized treatment plan. When working with my clients, I like to build a strong therapeutic rapport to gather a clear understanding of the client’s needs, goals they want to work on and/or issues they want to address in therapy, barriers to progression in therapy, and objectives to reach their therapeutic goals. My philosophy in working with each client is that I am here to help you. I hope to work with you, helping you understand where you are in the process of change, motivating you to move towards the next stage, assisting you throughout the therapeutic process, and we move at your pace. The client’s progression in the therapeutic process is to understand and acknowledge that, to a large degree, a successful treatment outcome depends on the amount of energy and effort the client makes. I will always have an open and honest line of communication with clients and be empathetic and very respectful. I look forward to working with you!
