If you feel like you’re feeling the pressure of what’s next, stop scrolling because trust…you’re in the right place. College is supposed to be an exciting experience but for a lot of students, it feels like: • “I’m behind.” • “Everyone else has it figured out.” • “I’m stressed all the time.” • “I don’t even know what I’m doing here.” If that’s you, I can assure that you’re not broken. Hello! I'm Jacobia Williams, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a passion for helping others to live their best lives. I've worked as a social worker in settings such as therapeutic foster care, hospitals, counseling, and schools for the last 20 years. My goal is to support you on your life's journey. We are all unique and have stories to tell, but it is important to be the narrator of that story. Many of us have faced challenges with our health, jobs, families, and relationships. Many have lost loved ones, felt overwhelmed, and have been stressed out. Often times, our loved ones and children may be feeling those stressors also. We want to teach ourselves and children that it is important to take care of our physical and emotional health. Seeking help to fine tune our coping skills is a courageous act. Allow me the opportunity to partner with you in developing the skills and tools needed to navigate your world. We want to assist you with living a healthy and happy life. I see you as a whole person—not a problem to fix. In our work together, I honor your identity and abilities while also acknowledging the very real barriers, exhaustion, and inequities you may encounter every day. My goal is to support you in navigating a world that isn’t always built with you in mind—without asking you to erase or override who you are. I am committed to providing Neuro- and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy on your terms and to meet you where you are. Whether you struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, focus and concentration, relationships, life transitions, or just being a human in the world today, you are welcome here--all of you. Let down the mask and lets figure out how to feel better together!
Dr. Dietz's work as a psychologist is rooted in the belief that there is healing power in connection and in sharing one’s story. She works to provide an affirming space that allows clients to explore their experiences and challenges in a more nuanced and compassionate manner. Human beings have an innate need to feel seen and understood. In an increasingly isolating world, therapy offers clients the opportunity to feel less alone in their struggles, while also offering practical coping skills and strategies for growth. Sarah adopts a collaborative approach with clients, to ensure therapy is addressing goals that are valuable and relevant to each individual. Sarah is intentional about approaching clinical work with a multicultural lens as a means of acknowledging and honoring all aspects of clients’ identities and lived experiences. Sarah utilizes a trauma-informed and grief-informed framework to avoid pathologizing normative reactions to trauma and loss. Sessions will often include psychoeducation to help clients better understand and contextualize their challenges, experiences, and reactions.

I have been in the social work and mental health field for over 25 years. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults. My goal is to provide clients with a safe environment that we can work together to reach their goals and decrease their stressors. I utilize different modalities including but not limited to CBT and Motivational interviewing. Treatment and our sessions are based on each individual’s needs, goals and comfort level.
I have been working in North Carolina for the past 34 years. I work with clients ages 12 and up, focusing on depression, anxiety, grief, and career development. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's in School Counseling. I worked as a counselor in the school system for 28 years before deciding to practice therapy full-time. I believe that the foundation to all therapy is to develop a trusting and non-judgemental relationship. I use a variety of approaches based on client's needs that we both feel will be the most effective.
I have a passion for getting to know the unique person that you are, and discovering ways to challenge and empower you. My goal is to help make you comfortable with change, and achieve the life goals that you have for yourself. I typically work with college students who are struggling to find the motivation to succeed and setting goals that feel like a good fit/realistic for them.

I provide a warm and welcoming presence in sessions, allowing clients to relax and speak freely. I have a wholistic approach to counseling, recognizing the connections between mental, physical, relational, emotional, and spiritual health. Clients often come to me when they are experiencing times of transition in their lives (marriage, break-ups, pregnancy, motherhood, fatherhood, college, graduation, the death of a loved one, etc.). I enjoy helping clients process these changes and move towards clarity and calm. Change affects everyone in different ways, and it is important to recognize your own style of processing in order to heal. I work hard to create a space for your soul, the unique person you are to grow, to change, and most importantly to heal so that you can move into the next season with hope and the tools to handle whatever that season brings.
My mission is to walk alongside teenage and college-aged women, children, and families on their journey towards health and flourishing. I believe in a holistic approach to counseling that addresses the emotional, psychological, social, and spiritual facets of who we are. As a former student I understand the severe challenges college can bring. I am seeking to care for those struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth. I desire to be a light in the darkness and a source of hope and comfort for others in their own seasons of struggle. I am also happy to incorporate faith and spirituality in the counseling process upon request. I am a counseling intern under supervision pursuing my Master's degree in Christian Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
