My experience as a gay man raised in the South gives me a deeper understanding of how culture, identity, and family can shape who we become. My approach is an integration of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral modalities, which means I will explore the way you experienced the world from birth until present in order to identify habits and behaviors that have become roadblocks to living in alignment with the person you want to be. By tracing present-day patterns back to their origins and understanding how they’ve developed over time, psychodynamic therapy helps people live more meaningful lives. Starting therapy can feel uncertain, especially when life feels heavy or confusing. My hope is that our work gives you space to slow down and look more closely at what’s happening beneath the surface.
