Wondering if therapy is right for you? When I explained counseling to my 10-year-old daughter, she sat across from me on the floor and made a connection I'll never forget. She concluded, "So mom, you'd be like my own personal target. All of my thoughts and feelings are like arrows that I can throw at you." Yes, that's exactly what counseling is like. A safe place you can hurl "arrows," so they don't have the power to hurt you with their sharp points! You are not defined by your experiences or struggles. Taking a step toward counseling is brave because healing is a process and finding wholeness is a journey. Life is challenging to say the least! Let me walk alongside you as you navigate finding renewed hope. Together, we will discover who you are becoming!

I am a board certified psychiatrist and provide combined psychotherapy and medication treatment. My patients are typically looking for therapy to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. They are also often looking for support with evidence-based medication treatment. I listen carefully to understand the difficulties that bring someone to treatment and to understand their goals. I am collaborative in my approach. I approach psychotherapy from a psychodynamic perspective, where the goal is to increase understanding and insight into thoughts, feelings, and behavior. When we can understand ourselves better, we can then change patterns that may be getting in our way. This type of therapy can often lead to lasting change. Please note that because my practice is telehealth only, I do not prescribe controlled substances (for example, stimulants for ADHD or medications such as Xanax or Ativan for anxiety).

If anxiety, intrusive thoughts, OCD, phobias or depressive thoughts take up too much space in your life, I will work with you to uncover their sources. You can establish and engage in useful coping skills that will allow you to spend less time battling your thoughts and more time living the life you want. If you're a couple struggling with relationship concerns, I will work with you to restore harmony in your relationship and strengthen your connection. I aim to provide a safe, warm and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore their emotions, while also feeling comfortable and validated when sharing experiences, thoughts and behaviors. I practice using evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), as well as self-compassion and mindfulness techniques. Gottman Method Couples Therapy informs my work with couples. If you choose therapy as a next step, I would be honored to work with you and support you in your journey of self-growth and healing! Maybe what aches most is not the change itself, but the fear that someone you love is slipping out of reach — even if that someone is you. Everything feels different, yet somehow the same. One minute you are putting on pajamas, and the next you are spiraling because it is the first moment of quiet you have had all day. There is this gut feeling that your heart can no longer be bound with band-aids, but soul-searching is a lot before the alarm goes off tomorrow. You do not have to make sense of it all alone at midnight — that is what I am here for. I support clients ages 13–30s through this season of becoming — identity, relationships, independence, pressure, purpose, and transition. With evidence-based care and expressive arts, we use guided reflection, practical strategies, and creative exploration to turn overwhelm into clarity, awaken new direction, and find the light at the end of the tunnel. There is no perfect place to begin. Arrive as you are! I offer virtual therapy sessions for clients located in California, Indiana, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. I am available for a free 15-minute phone consultation, and I invite you to reach out. I look forward to connecting.

You may look capable and successful on the outside, but inside, you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or unsure of yourself. Many of the students I work best with are used to setting high expectations for themselves. You may put pressure on yourself to succeed, struggle with perfectionism, or feel like you are falling behind even when others think you are doing well. I also enjoy working with international students and students navigating different cultures. You may be balancing school with family expectations, relationships, questions about who you are and where you belong, or the stress of adapting to life away from home. Past difficult experiences may also be affecting how you feel and respond to stress today. In our work together, you do not have to have everything figured out. We can slow things down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and find practical ways to manage difficult emotions and everyday stress. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, understand yourself more deeply, and approach your life and relationships with greater confidence and choice.

What’s keeping you stuck? Are you struggling to understand why relationships keep failing or why your job or school is depleting you? Are you overwhelmed, trapped in a pattern of people pleasing, or struggling with anxious thoughts you can’t seem to stop? Are you high-achieving or perfectionistic and struggling to find peace in your life? Maybe you’re just grappling with the existential questions and wondering what the meaning of all of this is. I specialize in helping people get unstuck, gain confidence, and create the lives they want. I teach you how to cultivate calm in your body and understand how thoughts and internal narratives influence feelings and behaviors. You will learn how to position yourself as the observer of your emotions (like anxiety, irritability), so you can respond intentionally—rather than on autopilot. I provide insightful online therapy that allows you to feel seen, heard, and understood - all in the comfort of your home. I love doing the deep work that helps you better understand yourself and empowers you to build the life you want.

Everyone faces seasons in their lives where it feels like they’re on a spinning wheel. Round and round and round you go, too afraid to get off or try something different, too stuck in old patterns or routines, lacking the skills or support to take the leap.  You’re here because you want something different, something more, something better for your life.  I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Life Coach with almost twenty years of experience in the field. Since starting my own private practice in 2020, I have primarily worked with women in adolescence through adulthood, focusing on life transitions, relationships, divorce, parenting, trauma, grief, and self-worth. As an integrative systems therapist, I understand that the systems we’re a part of, including our families of origin, communities and social networks, country, the world, and the planet, have profound impacts on us individually. I utilize a blend of modalities that meet each client where they’re at, including mindfulness, visualization, and writing. I have been EMDR-trained since 2021.  I’m currently accepting clients on a limited basis beginning in September 2026. Email me to secure your spot. I look forward to meeting you.

Why does it always feel like the to-do list is never-ending and what’s done is never quite enough? You are diligent about keeping on top of things and it’s gotten you pretty far. Yet, you find yourself asking “I’m running myself ragged for this?” Work-life balance? Who has time for that! Well, you are not alone. Like you, the individuals I work with tend to be busy, successful, professionals who feel stressed, anxious, and unsatisfied and struggle with burnout and imposter syndrome. They seem like they have it all together but live in fear of dropping the ball while trying to juggle all the other ones in the air. Sound familiar? The good news is that it doesn’t have to be this way. I help you sort out what needs to change and how to create a life where you feel excited and fulfilled. None of that is easy, but it is doable. My approach is genuine, kind, and challenging with a bit of cheerleader because we all need a friendly push sometimes with someone encouraging us along the way. You’re busy and don’t have time or energy to spend on things that don’t work. I use evidence-based strategies customized to meet your unique needs. Together we’ll create a plan that works for you. I offer individual therapy exclusively online as well as other services such as workshops and mindfulness. Contact me for a free consultation.
