I am originally from California, but have called Colorado (Denver) my home for the last thirteen years. While I do miss the ocean, I love being in the mountains and all they have to offer. When I am not working, I am often playing in my garden, doing something in the kitchen, spending time with friends and family, or traveling. I am the same person during session as I am outside of session; laid back, a little goofy, genuinely curious about others’ lives, and compassionate. I use she/her pronouns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and am licensed to see clients in Colorado, Indiana, Florida and Nevada. I have been practicing therapy since 2013 and truly enjoy working with my clients. I love learning about how trauma and stress can impact our minds, bodies and nervous systems and the ways we can heal and start to feel better. I am a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist as well as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I often use a mixture of EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), attachment, parts focused, and mindfulness techniques to help clients begin to unpack stressful or traumatic events and begin to integrate a sense of healing back into their minds and bodies. These techniques can be helpful for clients struggling with anxiety and depression symptoms, who have experienced one or more traumatic events, substance use, emotion regulation, or uncomfortable body sensations.
Charlie Health is a virtual behavioral health program for adolescents and young adults with moderate or severe mental health concerns or co-occurring substance use or eating disorders. Designed to meet the needs of those who require more than weekly therapy, our program combines curated group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy into personalized treatment programs. We are helping to serve those who are in crisis, or have been historically underserved, by eliminating the most significant treatment barriers: geographical and financial access. We work with nearly all commercial insurance nationwide and have no waitlist, thereby helping people access quality, evidence-based care regardless of insurance, location, or other barriers.

Harvest Counseling Group is a group of counselors with a passion to create a relationship built on safety, trust, and hope, where you can feel accepted and challenged to grow in new and meaningful ways. We understand that college students face many challenges as they are living on their own for the first time, making academic and life decisions with less support, and experiencing the stress that comes with the many demands of the academic setting. College students are experiencing higher levels of anxiety and depression than ever before. Therefore, we consider it a privilege to be able to walk with you through your fears and challenges as you work toward healing and restoration.
I specialize in working with "high achievers." Many of my clients are accomplished problem solvers but they find themselves stuck, frustrated, dissatisfied, distressed, or disconnected and they aren't getting getting where they want to go. I use a relational framework to help them develop a deeper understanding of the issue(s) and work from there to support them as they learn, grow, and discover sustainable and meaningful solutions to the challenges they are facing. This is hard work, but if you are up for the challenge it can also be some of the most meaningful work you'll ever do!
You are trying to hold it all together, but just can’t take it anymore. You’ve hit your breaking point and don’t know what to do. Self-doubt, over-thinking everything, questioning what will make you happy. It seems like everyone else has it figured out, but you can't get it together. This is supposed to be the best time of your life, but you can't seem to enjoy it, and you need help. My name is Jennifer Branstetter, and I help students who are struggling and overwhelmed with their mental health. It might be hard to keep up with school, and maybe this is the first time you've ever struggled academically and you're wondering if something's wrong with you. Anxiety, depression, PTSD, or ADHD symptoms can interfere with forming friendships or having the "college experience" and maybe you're questioning if you made the right school choice. Maybe you aren't connecting socially or feel like you fit in. Sometimes the transition to college can be a lot harder than expected, or something like a breakup can throw you for a loop. It's common for students in this situation to feel an immense amount of pressure. Sometimes it feels like you can't talk to anyone else about it. Therapy can be a place to get it all out, figure out what is contributing to the problem, and come up with a plan to get better. It's time to get some support. You don't have to do this alone. My practice has been virtual since 2018 from my home office in Southeast Indiana, outside of Cincinnati. I see people in Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. If you have a therapist at home, I'd be happy to connect with them to make the transition easier, and stay on the same page if you see them on breaks. I can also help connect you with on-campus resources or medication providers if needed. Reach out to schedule a call to see if we're a good fit.

Scared (insert adjective) may be what you feel, brave is what you are. College- an excellent time to think about who you are and who you are becoming- not what you are doing, no, this can change. Who do you BE? And do you remember that you are loved for that being; that you are ok and not ok? Let's enjoy story, silence, and shifting the maps in our heads until we feel more confident traveling this path and seeing where it leads.
Everyone tells you that college is the best time in your life and to enjoy it because it flies by. But what people don’t tell you is all the challenges that it can bring. Maybe it’s the first time you are away from your family and friends from home. It can also bring many challenges with pressure to drink or use drugs, navigating friendships and dating in a more complicated way, and figuring out what you want to do with the rest of your life. You might be in a position where in order to afford school you need to work on top of doing well in all your classes. I know personally how challenging, yet exciting, this time can be, and I am here to tell you that you don’t need to figure it all out on your own or even right now. Are you ready to enjoy your college experience, be fully present in the great moments without feeling stresses weighing you down everyday? It’s time to feel a sense of relief, confidence in who you are, and in your decisions. Together, we can make your life feel lighter and free up space for everything else you have going on! My Approach: I am a strong believer in the power of relationships. Having someone to talk to can increase our sense of happiness and positivity, and most importantly let us know that we are not alone. Life has many ups and downs, but it's what you do with them that matters. I am here to help you transform the tough moments into growth. Therapy with me looks like an open dialogue, where we both respect each other's point of view and collaborate to find solutions that help you overcome what’s been holding you back. We can talk about anything, no matter how hard it is to share. Whether it’s the good things or the bad, I am ready to hold space for even the strongest emotions that come up, because I know we can work through it together. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy that not only looks at your thoughts and feelings, but also how your environment, your cultural experiences, close relationships, and health, affect your mental wellbeing. We’ll use a variety of therapeutic techniques to best fit what you need, because therapy is not a one size fits all approach. We’ll make sure that those techniques are really working for you. It might be practicing mindfulness or trying out different coping skills to help things feel less overwhelming. Our approach will continue to grow as our therapeutic relationship develops. I know that therapy is not always easy, but I am here to support you each step of the way and I will always accept you for how you are in that moment, even the hard ones. A Little About Me: I went into undergrad undecided and had a hard time knowing what I wanted to do. I knew that I wanted to do something to help people and I wanted a career that I would enjoy. I always felt behind in some way because I didn’t know what I wanted to do right away. I have learned that a lot of people have a unique path to get to where they are. I worked as a school social worker for 8 years before private practice and that is when I really knew I loved counseling and wanted to continue on this path. I have lived in the Chicago area for most of my life and love the city! You can find me by the lake or exploring all the city has to offer. My hobbies are all over the place and include a mixture of baking, triathlons, knitting, going on long walks and finding the best matcha. I also love traveling (but hate flying) and have an ever growing list of places I want to visit.
Navigating this new life as a student can be difficult. You are experiencing many different changes, while keeping up with all that is required of you in your classes. It is all overwhelming. This is where talking to someone who specializes in managing stress, depression, anxiety and so much more can help you achieve success. I am passionate about working with students throughout their college careers and beyond. Obtaining a higher education is a huge achievement, but that doesn't mean it doesn't come without stress and hardships. I am here to help you reach your goals and overcome any roadblocks in the process. Opening up individually or within a group will allow for growth in many areas. Welcome. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted by the weight of everything you’ve been carrying, I want you to know you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I believe that therapy is, first and foremost, a partnership built on warmth, safety, and mutual respect. Life can be incredibly complex, and our mental well-being is deeply connected to everything around us—our physical health, our personal histories, and the day-to-day pressures of the world we live in. My goal is to provide a soft landing place where you can step out of the chaos, catch your breath, and feel truly heard. As a counselor with a deep background in both mental health and clinical medicine, I look at the whole picture of who you are. Together, we will gently explore what is holding you back, honor your lived experience, and collaborate on a practical, supportive path forward at a pace that feels safe and right for you. My Specialties Healing Trauma & Stress: Gently working together to soothe your nervous system, process old wounds, and bring a sense of safety back to your daily life. Navigating Life & Career Transitions: Providing a steady, encouraging anchor when you are managing major life shifts, educational pursuits, or redefining your personal goals. Financial & Socioeconomic Stress: Offering a compassionate, zero-judgment space to talk about the very real anxiety, stress, and burdens that financial and systemic pressures place on our minds and families. Integrative, Whole-Person Wellness: Honoring the profound connection between your mind and body, ensuring your physical well-being is supported alongside your emotional health. My Approach My therapeutic style is warm, interactive, and deeply collaborative. I am not a passive therapist who just sits and nods; I am right there in the trenches with you, listening with an open heart and a curious mind. Because everyone processes things differently, I love using creative, visual, and practical tools to help us map out patterns and make sense of heavy emotions together. There is no judgment here—only a shared commitment to your growth, your peace of mind, and your personal autonomy. Who I Work Best With I welcome adults from all walks of life who are looking for a deeply empathetic, down-to-earth ally. Whether you are navigating a demanding career, feeling crushed by the weight of systemic barriers, or simply trying to find your footing during a time of immense change, I am here to support you. If you are looking for a space where you can be completely, authentically yourself while working toward a more peaceful, resilient life, we will likely be a wonderful fit.
Depression, anxiety, addictions, and relationship struggles have all become commonplace in our culture. Are you struggling to find peace and joy? Have your choices or the choices of others left you feeling broken? Are you searching for hope amidst seemingly hopeless circumstances? "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." Proverbs 13:12 Faithful Counsel is a group of like-minded, Christian mental health counselors (independently contracted) who desire to see hearts healed through counseling with truth in love. If you have a measure of faith, Faithful Counsel hopes to exhort and encourage you to grow stronger in it. If you are experiencing doubt, aren't sure what you believe, or even consider yourself agnostic or atheist, we would still encourage you to explore the possibility of a loving Creator. God makes many promises to His people, if there's even a remote chance that those promises are true, aren't they worth genuine exploration?
