Hi there and welcome! I am a culturally responsive therapist and I have over eighteen years experience working with college students. Currently, I work primarily with daughters of immigrants, but I see people of all marginalized backgrounds. I pride myself on being easy to talk to, and I believe the relationship between me and the client is super important in the healing process. It's important that my clients feel safe and connected, so please reach out with any questions or concerns about whether we may be a good fit!

Hi! I am currently being credentialed with Blue Cross and Harvard Pilgrim, but the process is not complete yet. I expect to be able to take those insurances in late September. In the meantime, I am seeing people who have Blue Cross or Harvard Pilgrim for $50 a session, roughly the amount of a higher co-pay, until I can accept the insurance. Are you worried, concerned, stressed about school? Is it having an impact on your life? Is adjusting to being away from home for the first time a lot? Are you having a hard time with impending graduation and knowing what to do afterward? Are you looking for someone who can listen to you, create an environment where you can talk about things that are hard in your life, and is able to support you? I do a lot of work with anxiety and PTSD, body acceptance and liberation, life changes and adjustments, queer communities, people in higher education, and support people in relationship and communication challenges of all kinds. I offer a free thirty minute consultation to see if we are a good fit and if I can be helpful to you. For anyone who does not want to use insurance, my current fee for individual therapy is $200 a session. I can provide superbills, which are a way to recoup part or all of what you pay me through your insurance company. I can accept HSA and FSA cards. Please check out my website for much more information about me and how I work. I look forward to hearing from you!

I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to process memories, thoughts and feelings. There are long, lost fears and often past traumas at play in all of us. Some surface, wreaking havoc with our lives. They can appear as grief, depression, anxiety or crisis. Others remain dormant and can surface at all the wrong times. You may appear successful, but despite your accomplishments, you are not happy or it seems like others are happier than you. Your personal relationships are not satisfying in the way you expect. Why is happiness still elusive? We can dislodge what is blocking your best life and guide you to a healthier self. We will guide you to new understandings, new behaviors and new ways of being that will lead you to a happier self. You can reduce the anxiety and depression. You can disarm the trauma and grief that has made the days so uncomfortable. I provide a safe, empathetic environment for change. Call to book an appointment or consultation.

I offer a warm, non-judgmental opportunity to reflect on what is going on for you and what you can do about it. Navigating life is hard. Transitions, losses, relationships, economic pressure, depression, anxiety, trauma, and everything else that comes with being human can be difficult to manage under any circumstances. We all need new approaches sometimes. As we get to know each other, we will draw from a variety of therapies based on what makes sense for you. One size does not fit all! I would welcome the chance to help you consider what to do with your one precious life. I know it takes courage to reach out to a therapist, whether you have had therapy in the past or not. Just know I'll always be glad to hear from you.

Feeling stuck in your relationships—whether with friends, partners, or even yourself? It’s common to feel overwhelmed by misunderstandings, anxiety about caring for others, or the pressure to “have it all together.” For many students, relationships shift fast: new independence, long-distance friendships, the challenge of dating while studying, or balancing your own needs with others’. I work with students who… • find themselves repeating the same argument or feeling misunderstood in a partnership • struggle to connect emotionally or feel distant from friends • worry they’re always giving more than they receive • feel unsure about who they are when they’re in a relationship • want healthier boundaries and more confidence in saying “me too” Together, we’ll create a space where you can slow down, explore how you relate, and build the skills to communicate clearly, be seen, and feel supported, not just in your relationships, but in your life. Because the most important relationship you’re building right now is with you. If you’re ready to find a more grounded, authentic connection—with others and yourself—let’s talk.

The college years can be full of fun and excitement, and they can also come with all kinds of challenges - academic pressure, perfectionism, anxiety, homesickness, identity shifts, and major life changes. You may be coping with experiences or challenges you faced before you got to college, or you may be facing new feelings that you aren't sure how to navigate. Whatever it is you’re going through right now, I’ll meet you with compassion & honesty, and we will work together toward your goals as a team. This is always an LGBTQI+ Safe Space. I began my work in mental health 10 years ago and have since worked with all ages in many settings. I support students who are navigating: - Anxiety and perfectionism - Depression - Trauma and past experiences - Chronic illness and chronic pain - Homesickness and life transitions - Identity and self-worth I also support clients in navigating complex medical and school systems, learning self-advocacy, & processing painful experiences. I help clients realize their inner strength, and feel empowered in their own care and in their lives. My approach to therapy is rooted in trust & rapport, because that’s what makes this work together possible. I am warm, honest, and encourage clients to challenge & dismantle negative beliefs they have about themselves. I have been a therapist for over 20 years, and I'm here to help you through struggles and teach you techniques and coping skills that can help you manage your stress levels, communicate better with loved ones, achieve a balance between work and relaxation, and change patterns that no longer serve you. I have extensive experience working with adults, children (age 10+), adolescents, couples and families and used evidence based treatments to bring about relief quickly. If you're looking for extra support through a challenging situation or want to move in a new direction in life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. My approach is eclectic and individualized including (but not limited to) CBT, Strengths-Based Therapy, EMDR, Meditation/Mindfulness. I like to create a safe environment for clients to explore challenges, express their needs, and work towards a happier, healthier life. My schedule is open to day and evening appointments, and I welcome you to contact me. We are all "works in progress."
