Life can be hard. Extremely hard. Sometimes you can’t see your way out. It’s normal. When those hard moments in life come, I’m here to see you through to the other side of your pain. That’s the goal. The other side. I am the owner and lead therapist at Empowered Perspective. I am licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and received my master’s degree in Human Relations (the study of psychology, sociology, and anthropology) from the University of Oklahoma. The program provided a solid foundation in my journey to counseling. Before arriving here, I worked in Corporate America for over 12 years guiding individuals through their careers as a Global Talent Director. Although I was “successful” by many people's definition, I wasn’t fulfilled. That is when I decided to answer my “calling” and enter into the counseling profession. I am honored that God chose me to do this work. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families and couples suffering from a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, and grief. As your counselor, you will get someone who is authentic, straightforward, down-to-earth, and open-minded. My job is not to judge you or your actions. My job is to listen to you, encourage you, walk beside you, and yes, sometimes challenge your perspective. I work primarily from the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Spiritual/Transpersonal Therapy treatment modalities. In simple terms, CBT focuses on how thoughts influence our emotions and behavior. Spiritual Therapy focuses on the body, mind and health of a person’s spirit. It puts an emphasis on a person’s spiritual path or enlightenment during life. There is more to life than existing and living through the pain; more than being a mother, spouse, friend, employee, daughter, or son. Getting through the challenges and roadblocks can sometimes feel insurmountable and confusing. My goal is to help you see the beauty of life, find meaning, and sustainable joy. When you are ready, I am here to help.
I am training to become a Play Therapist, these skills can be used with children or teen, though I also aim to use those skills with adults as well. My space has plenty of toys and items to encourage therapeutic growth. In addition, I use the scientific methods of Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior therapies to assist in the growth of each person. This is my philosophy when it comes to our therapy sessions and my own life; Laughter, play and accountability allow us to create, and live healthy and meaningful lives. No matter your struggles, your child's concerns, or the hurt within your family: I will do my very best to ensure you are heard and you gain the appropriate tools and skills needed.

SoulCare counseling is primarily a Christian Counseling practice that helps individuals, couples, and families navigate the struggles they are facing. As your therapist, I will meet you where you are at in your mental health journey and work collaboratively with you to reach your goals. If you are feeling stuck, anxious, depressed, struggle with relationship issues and more, reach out today!
Our time together will be spent figuring the aspects- emotional, intellectual, sensory-based, and behavioral- of life through out your own story. Growing into learning how to listen to yourself so you can trust what it is you know, and what it is you need will be at the core of each session so that the feelings of stress, overwhelm, anxiousness, depression no longer keep you detached from yourself. The tools I use are done with cultural considerations, and by acknowledging the extra burdens social constructs and systemic environments put on you. I start with listening and being a witness to your story. With your consent, I use therapeutic tools to assist you in taking an objective stance in your story, and in offering yourself compassion. Continuing through developing and honing in on how you understand your experience through strengthening the connection between your mind and body. I am also trained in and have used EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) with children, teens, adults of both the neurodiverse (Autism, ADHD, etc.) and neurotypical populations. EMDR is used in session, with your consent, when you feel the need to address larger internal hurdles such as phobias or trauma(s) (also known as PTSD or C-PTSD). All of the work will be done at your pace and with your specific needs in mind. I am an affirming counselor and believe counseling should be for everyone. I understand the systemic pressure that can have you trying to “get it right!” A benefit to you may be my stance on de-stigmatizing mental health by avoiding rigid diagnoses and accepting that there is more than one way to live and thrive in this/your world. I will be ready when you are. Until then, good luck on your search. My license number is #93296. I am supervised by Stamatis Bogdanos, LPC-S | #64556 in Houston, Tx. It’s normal to experience feelings of fear, loneliness, and sadness as we navigate life’s challenges. Acknowledging the need for support is both brave and deeply human. By seeking therapy, you’re showing kindness to yourself and those you care about, opening the door to more meaningful relationships. I work with individuals and couples, and I’m particularly passionate about working with college-aged adults, young professionals, and couples preparing for marriage. Whether you're building self-confidence, navigating relational anxiety, or feeling isolated, I offer a supportive environment where you can be understood and seen. If this sounds like what you need, email me to start the journey!
Are you a queer, BIPOC, or neurodivergent person struggling with relentless self-criticism? It might feel like you can’t stop beating yourself up and feeling like you’re not good enough, no matter how hard you try. This self-doubt can be reinforced by others treating you differently and the systemic oppression which is present in so many aspects of our world today. If you’re ready to escape from a shame spiral, you’ve come to the right place. Welcome! My name is Sajl, and I’m a nonbinary and South Asian therapist based in Frisco, TX. I work with motivated and insightful teens and adults via telehealth to liberate themselves from self-hatred. My goal is to provide you with an affirming, compassionate, and honest therapeutic space in which you are free to explore and understand where these beliefs stem from. Together, we’ll get to the root cause of your pain and help you develop a kinder and gentler inner voice. As a young queer person of color, I know what it’s like to be unsure of whether aspects of my identity will be accepted in new spaces. Rest assured, every aspect of what makes you who you are is invited when we share space together. My therapeutic approach is culturally sensitive, identity-affirming, and liberation-centered. I incorporate aspects of acceptance and commitment therapy, relational cultural therapy, and attachment theory to help you understand and face your pain with courage and compassion. If you’re ready to release the burden of the pain you’ve been carrying, I would be honored to lighten your load and walk alongside you in the path towards healing.
This space is yours—a place where we can talk openly, without judgment, and work together to understand what’s going on and how to move forward in a way that feels right for you. In our first few sessions, we’ll get to know each other. I’ll ask some questions to learn about your background and goals, and you can ask me anything about how I work or what to expect from therapy. There's no pressure to share everything all at once—this is your process, and we’ll go at your pace. My goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and supported.
Do you feel like adulting is just too much sometimes? Especially when you're juggling finances, relationships, work, and all the things? What about feeling overwhelmed with emotions you can't name or even feeling completely disconnected mentally, emotionally, and physically? Do you find yourself doomscrolling at 3am, diagnosing with the latest TikTok symptoms or shaming yourself over LinkedIn comparisons? Maybe you're highly self-aware and have 20 books on exactly what's wrong (hello, intellectualizing!) but still feel stuck. And that family trauma they swear never happened? Yeah, it's still showing up in your life today. I get it. I'm the opposite of a blank slate therapist. One who keeps it real—not just with a "yeah...okay...mmm" and nod. Using a holistic approach, I help Gen Z and Millennials that are seeking deep healing and liberation. Together, we'll move beyond just understanding your patterns to creating real change, using evidence-based tools for your mind, body, and soul. If you want to get unstuck, break those generational cycles, and start thriving (not just surviving), I can help. Even if you don't think your challenges are "serious enough" for therapy, you deserve support too. Ready to create a life that feels aligned and authentically yours? Schedule an intake or free 15 min consultation and let's see if we're a good fit!

Do you find yourself thinking, "Something is wrong. Why am I feeling this way?" Do you have times when you feel overwhelmed and tense? Are you afraid of failing and that you will never feel good enough? I want to help ease your anxiety and walk with you through your depression. I'll help shine some light on your concerns, so that you will not have to feel alone in your thoughts and feelings. We're going to figure this out together. My role as your therapist is to help you gain the knowledge of your symptoms, the skills to ground and calm your body and mind, and the supportive resources within yourself and your environment to create the life you desire. Together, we will address where your concerns began and led you to where you are now. Shedding light on how your anxieties and depression were created can be a powerful and healing experience. My ultimate goal is for you to have discrete tools and techniques that you can use wherever you may be. I have had the opportunity to work in multiple settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient centers, autism clinics, private practice, a school, & a non-profit agency; this has led me to tailor my counseling techniques for each unique individual in their environment. I would be honored to guide you through this journey, whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, life transitions, or relational difficulties.

I help young adults who feel out of control of their lives. Stressed Out. Overwhelmed. Not quite sure how this whole adulting thing works. Trying to balance school, work, family, friends, and relationships. My clients struggle like you do. Despite being smart, driven, and funny, life is hard. When clients first come in, they may not feel enjoyment in the same activities they used to love. They may tend to mindlessly watch Youtube instead of completing their to-do list. They feel so stressed that they don’t finish tasks, and then beat themselves up for not completing it. The cycle continues as they feel worse and worse. My clients come into therapy looking for support, avoid doing things they used to love, have trouble connecting with family and friends, and find themselves second guessing their decisions. Choices may seem overwhelming, as if one wrong move sends them back to square one. They can’t sleep at night and have trouble completing assignments for college. In counseling, clients and I work together to see their choices in a wider lens and find ways that they are in control. We come up with plans to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Please contact me if you’re ready to take control of your life and be the person you want to be.
